| The Insane Manifesto Of Austin Texas Crash Pilot Joseph Andrew Stack Posted: 18 Feb 2010 10:27 AM PST Wow. Check out the anti-big brother rant on EmbeddedArt.com that's almost certainly from the pilot of the crash. The manifesto is dated today, and it even anticipated his death. --------- If you're reading this, you're no doubt asking yourself, "Why did this have to happen?" The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn't enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes

| Was suicide pilot a right-wing activist? Posted: 18 Feb 2010 12:14 PM PST A small aircraft has crashed into an IRS office in Austin, and authorities say it was deliberate. The pilot, identified as 53-year-old Joseph Andrew Stack, left a rambling letter on the Web that definitely looks like a suicide note. Stack says he's had enough, and that " by not adding my body to the count, nothing will change." Stack's letter is very revealing. He doesn't mention the Tea Party movement, but the language of his letter points to someone who would fit into the anti-government movement. He mentions that at one point, "some friends introduced me to a group of people who were havin

| The truth about expiration dates Posted: 18 Feb 2010 02:45 PM PST There's a filet mignon in my fridge that expired four days ago, but it seems OK to me. I take a hesitant whiff and detect no putrid odor of rotting flesh, no oozing, fetid cow juice—just the full-bodied aroma of well-aged meat. A feast for one; I retrieve my frying pan.

| Shaun White is just "McNasty": The Story in the Halfpipe Posted: 18 Feb 2010 11:48 AM PST Snowboarding has become way more than a sport with a small cult following. It has burst onto the mainstream stage thanks largely to the sports biggest star, Shaun White. The flying tomato and a field that has been largely dominated by American riders were on display on the world's biggest winter stage last night. The aerial exhibit they provided proved two things; the rest of the field has caught up to the Americans, and no one has come close to catching Shaun White.
